Request for Review
A request for review is not an appeal. You are not legally obligated to file a request for review before filing a BOPTA petition. The Assessor's office recommends that you file a request for review before filing a BOPTA petition in order to give a member of our appraisal staff a chance to inspect your property and review the records we have on file. This is also a good time to ask the appraiser questions. The request for review form is available for submission to the Assessor's office after the tax statements are mailed out in October. The deadline to file a request for review is usually the first Friday in December.
