WOODBURN

Walkers from the Woodburn Chamber of Commerce and Habitat for Humanity take off
from Centennial Park in Woodburn en route to Gervais on July 11. Woodburn Kathy

GERVAIS
Woodburn Mayor Kathy Figley passes the baton to Gervais Mayor Shanti
Platt, who carries the baton by car from Gervais to Mt. Angel.
The royal court from the Mr. & Miss Gervais pageant was in attendance. The
court raised more than $17,000 for the Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
The Willamette Model T Ford Car Club helped to escort the baton on its jouney
from Gervais to Mt. Angel.

On the front steps of Mt. Angel City Hall, Mt. Angel Mayor Rick Schiedler and
John Gooley, President of Oktoberfest, join Commissioner Janet Carlson and
Gervais Mayor Shanti Platt in a brief ceremony, where the baton is passed to
the John F. Kennedy High School cross county track team.

MARION COUNTY FAIR / OREGON STATE FAIRGROUNDS, SALEM
On the main stage at the Marion County Fair, relay runners C.J. Dyer, (left) and Matt Bauman delivered the baton to Marion County Commissioner Janet Carlson.
The baton, after traveling 150 Miles for 150 Years, is presented to Marion County Historical Society Executive Director Amy Vandegrift by runner Matt Bauman. The baton will reside at the historical society now that its trek through Marion County is complete.
At the fair, a cake displaying the Marion County relay was served to those
on hand to see the baton reach its final destination.
