Employees also have the option of waiving health coverage if they desire. The county does not offer a financial incentive to waive coverage. DENTAL PLANSThere are two dental plan choices for MCLEA employees:
Employees may choose either dental plan with any of the medical plans. For example, the Kaiser HMO medical/vision plan may be paired with the Moda/ODS dental plan.
MONTHLY PREMIUM COSTSMarion County pays 95% of the monthly health insurance premiums. Employees covered under MCLEA pay 5% of the monthly health plan premiums. Premium costs include all eligible family members. Please go here and refer to the chart at the end of the Marion County Health Plans Comparison and Summary for premium share amounts. WAIVING COVERAGEMCLEA employees may choose to waive medical/vision and dental coverage. If employees have other medical coverage, they are eligible to waive coverage and can do so at any time during the year. Proof of other coverage must be provided.
