Are you a local artist with a heart for teaching and an interest in working with young adults? Our Juvenile Department is looking for a volunteer Artist in Residence for a new project at the Marion County Detention Facility. The artist will work with youth in custody on pre-planning designs, sketching, and application of several large wall murals at the facility.
Volunteer must be at least 21 years of age, be able to pass a criminal background check, and be available to work in a secured facility during evening hours. Apply today!

The Marion County Public Health Workgroup is currently recruiting new members who are interested in improving our community's health.
Persons currently working in all parts of Marion County in the fields of education, healthcare, land use planning, parks and recreation, social services, public safety, and business, or other fields who:
- Have insight into the public health concerns of various groups (including Latino, Russian and/or other cultural communities);
- Have an interest in improving the health of our community

Help Prepare and Respond to Emergencies
The Emergency Management Program is looking for community volunteers interested in helping prepare and respond to emergencies in Marion County. Opportunities include Amateur Radio Emergency Services, Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT), the Medical Reserve Corps, office/administrative support, and more.
