The Children and Families Commission monitors the pulse of Marion County's children, youth and families, addressing expensive problems that are beyond the scope of any single organization. From reducing the number of children in foster care to increasing books available to disadvantaged children, the Commission develops creative solutions to complex issues. Grounded in research and fueled by passion, Children and Families Commission members employ their influence to improve the lives and futures of our children and youth. The purpose of forming a Youth Consortium is to bring stakeholders together to create a process of increased dialogue, communication, coordination and collaboration on issues related to today’s youth. Community Progress Teams (CPTs) and the CPT Operations Support Team - The mission of the Community Progress Team Operations Support Team is to provide networking opportunities for Community Progress Teams to share their learnings and successes, learn about researched based practices, share effective/tried strategies and to provide support for one another. They are comprised of commission members, partners, professionals and community members. Each Action Team will determine their meeting frequency and schedule.
