Executive Committee The Executive Committee meets 1:00-2:30pm the 2nd Thursday of every month at United Way, 455 Bliler Avenue NE, Salem, Oregon (meeting location & time can be subject to change - please contact staff to verify monthly meeting information) Executive Committee Agendas and Minutes 2012 Meeting Dates (Jan - June) Dates and locations of the monthly meetings are subject to change. To confirm a monthly meeting or for more information about the Executive Committee, contact Sherry Lintner at (503) 589-3276 or  slintner@co.marion.or.us The purpose of the Executive Committee is to: (1) Establish meeting agendas in consultation with the chair or co-chairs; (2) Review progress and oversee implementation of the Commission’s strategic plan; (3) Review progress and oversee implementation of the county’s coordinated comprehensive plan for children and families; (4) Recommend creation of special committees or action teams and set the level of decision-making authority; (5) Provide overall direction for standing committees and action teams; (6) Review recommendations from standing committees and action teams and propose implementation strategies to the Commission; (7) Mediate and arbitrate differences between committees or action teams and between Commission members; (8) Oversee the biennial budget process and assure submission of a budget proposal to the Commission; (9) Review and make recommendations to the Commission regarding the allocations distribution to contracted services to children and families providers; and (10) Make recommendations relating to operations and organizational development of the Department of Children and Families; (11) Additional duties, as delegated by the Commission.
