Community Services Department    Welcome to the Marion County Community Services Department!  The department includes the Children and Families Commission, the County Fair, Dog Services, and our partnership with OSU Extension Service. In addition, you will find links to other services provided by our extensive network of partners. As the Community Services Department, our mission is to promote safe and thriving communities for people to live, learn, work and play. We look forward to hearing from you!   Children and Families County Fair Dog Services OSU Extension Service Upcoming Events  Dog License Amnesty Event May 25, 2013, 10:00am - Noon Marion County Dog Services will host a Dog License Amnesty event offering amnesty on late fees and license violations, as well as a low cost vaccination clinic. The event will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Airport Self Storage at 2142 Turner Road SE in Salem.  Read more.  Printable flyer (PDF)  Marion County Fair July 11th - 14th No matter what your interest area, you'll find it at the Marion County fair.  4 Days of major entertainment. musical acts, magicians, clowns, walk-a-bout acts, talent show, and much more is free with your ticket to the fair. You can be part of the fair - enter your creative arts, photography, textiles/clothing, floral/garden, foods, or hobby - its free, and you can win prizes.  Find out more.
