Mid-Valley Women's Crisis Service

    The Mid-Valley Women's Crisis Service offers a safe refuge and support to women and children who survive domestic and sexual violence. Our programs and services inform survivors of their options and support them in their choices. A cornerstone of our philosophy is respect for the survivor's rights including the right to decide whether to report to the police the crime or crimes committed against her. We work with survivors of any race, color, creed, religious belief, or sexual orientation.

     In 1977 the Oregon Crime Victim’s Compensation Program was enacted. The State of Oregon has recognized the needs of victims and their families. This law provides a way to ease the financial losses of the victim and the victim’s family as a result of violent crimes.

                               Liberty House

    Liberty House is a special place for children to come when there are concerns that they may have been hurt by abuse or neglect. Liberty House is a neutral child abuse assessment center, where children receive a head-to-toe check-up and a carefully designed interview in an environment designed for kids.

VINELink Online

    VINELink is the online version of VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday), the National Victim Notification Network. This service allows crime victims to obtain timely and reliable information about criminal cases and the custody status of offenders 24 hours a day. Victims and other concerned citizens can also register to be notified by phone, email or TTY device when an offender's custody status changes. Users can also register through their participating state or county toll-free number.

    POMC makes the difference through on-going emotional support, education, prevention, advocacy, and awareness. POMC provides ongoing emotional support needed to help parents and other survivors facilitate the reconstruction of a "New Life" and to promote a healthy resolution. Not only does POMC help survivors deal with their acute grief, but with the
criminal justice system as well.
