Ambulance Service Areas (ASA)
Ambulance Service Area Advisory Committee
The membership of the ASA advisory committee shall represent a cross-section of ambulance service provider entities including but not limited to public, private, rural and urban. Additional members from various stakeholder groups such as healthcare consumers, hospital/health systems, health professionals, and PSAP 9-1-1 centers may be sought for appointment from time to time as the committee or board identifies a need. Geographical representation from across Marion County will be reflected in membership. The committee shall be comprised of no more than 12 members, who shall be appointed by the Marion County board of commissioners and serve at the pleasure of the board. Appointments shall be for a term not to exceed three years.
To review and make recommendations to the Board of Commissioners regarding the selection criteria for determining a franchise to provide emergency ambulance service
and to periodically review the Ambulance Service Area plan.
