Local Alcohol and Drug Planning Committee (LADPC)
The Local Alcohol and Drug Planning Committee (LADPC) is authorized under state statute to provide systems recommendations to the Marion County Board of Commissioners and Health Department on issues related to substance abuse and addiction and local treatment services. It is also responsible for community education and advocacy on alcohol and drug-related issues and for coordinating the efforts of other groups focused on these areas.
The committee is comprised of 11 members that represent the community, consumers of treatment services, community partners, law enforcement/ corrections and treatment providers. The Health Department Administrator and the Community and Provider Services (CAPS) Program Supervisor also attend the committee. The Chemical Dependency (CD) Member Services Coordinator is assigned to the committee to assist with scheduling and planning.
