In light of the current Ebola virus outbreak in Guinea and Liberia, the CDC has prepared the following Frequently Asked Questions document for healthcare providers. There have been no confirmed cases outside of these two countries. Nonetheless, given the global village in which we live, we are sharing this information with you so that you have the information you need to respond, should you see a patient who has compatible symptoms and history of travel to Guinea or Liberia in the past 21 days or who had contact in that time frame with a person confirmed or suspected to have Ebola infection. In the unlikely event you do see someone fitting either of these descriptions, please call the health department at 503-588-5621.
