“ATHLETE’S FOOT” is a fungal infection that causes dryness, scaling, cracking or blisters of the skin, usually between the toes on the bottom of the feet. It is a common infection, usually more severe in hot weather. It is spread by direct contact with skin lesions of infected persons or by contact with materials that are contaminated by the fungal spores (such as: floors, shower stalls, etc.). The incubation period is unknown.
