Problem Gambling Prevention
Gambling Problems?? Today's youth see gambling as the "norm", Texas Hold'em as a sport or a career choice, and the hotspot for family fun as Las Vegas. A survey in 2006 found that 70% of rural Marion County 12-14 year olds are already gambling. Oregon Teen study found 1 in 25 teens have a gambling problem. Healthy Teen survey ties teen gambling with increased drug use, violence, and sexuality. (see research)
