You are invited to participate in Marion County Medical Reserve Corps, a volunteer organization that promotes a safe, healthy and prepared community by establishing a core network of trained medical professionals and community volunteers ready to contribute their skills and expertise throughout the year as well as during times of community need.
Volunteers are needed with medical backgrounds – both practicing and retired, which include physicians, nurses, dentists, paramedics, dentists, pharmacists, and veterinarians, behavioral health specialists and EMTs. Non-medical members provide services such as administrators, counselors, translators, technical and communication support, and other key positions.Applicants interested in joining the MCMRC are encouraged to apply on-line with the State Emergency Registry of Volunteers in Oregon. SER-OR is a statewide registry system to help pre-credentialed health care professionals volunteer their services during emergencies with significant health impacts. It utilizes a secure database to register, credential, and alert volunteer health providers. When disaster strikes, you may be asked to volunteer at the local, state, or national level depending on your credentials, interest, availability and the nature and scope of the event.
MCMRC - Volunteer Application with SERV-OR
The MRC strengthens communities by helping medical, public health and other volunteers offer their expertise during local and statewide emergencies. MRC volunteers work in coordination with existing local emergency response programs and also supplement existing community public health initiatives, such as outreach and prevention, immunization programs, blood drives, case management, care planning and other efforts.
