The Children and Families Commission monitors the pulse of Marion County's children, youth and families, addressing expensive problems that are beyond the scope of any single organization. From reducing the number of children in foster care to increasing books available to disadvantaged children, the Commission brings together the right people to develop creative solutions to complex issues. The consortium plays a leadership role in defining and advocating for the needs and opportunities in the early childhood system in Marion County. The consortium advises the Commission on policies, priorities, strategies and evidence-based practices for supporting young children and their families in Marion County. The Consortium may provide technical assistance for a collaborative approach to an Early Learning coordination application during the 2012-13 fiscal year at the discretion of the director. Guido Caldarazzo Cultural Consortium - The Consortium's mission is to work collaboratively to facilitate a range of culturally competent social services for children, youth and families of Marion County, and provide policy advice to the Marion County Commission for Children and Families.
