The Brown’s Island Demolition Landfill is permitted by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality as a demolition landfill.
The permit restricts the types of materials which may be accepted - no wood materials except as noted below.

Brick
Concrete
Dirt
Fiberglass
Formica
Foundry sand
Plaster
Rock
Sand
Tile
Visqueen
Vinyl flooring
Window glass
Styrofoam insulation
Large timbers (larger than 6" x 6"x 4') excluding creosote or pressure treated timbers
Unmixed loads of PVC plastics are accepted for no cost
Please note that lightweight materials (like Visqueen) may be disposed of for less money at the Salem-Keizer Recycling & Transfer Station because the rate is based on weight, not volume as it is at the Brown's Island Facility. Payment Options: Customers may pay with cash, personal checks, debit or credit cards including Master Card and Visa. Please note that you will be required to show photo ID for checks and card payments.$100 bills cannot be accepted at this facility.

Unacceptable Materials
Certain wastes are not acceptable for disposal at Marion County Disposal Facilities. If you have this type of waste, call the Marion County Department of Environmental Services for instructions on proper disposal.

*Note Regarding Unrestrained Loads
All unrestrained loads will be charged an additional $10.00 fee. This fee doubles for each repeated occurrence.
An unrestrained load is defined as any load that can drop, sift, leak, blow or otherwise escape from the transporting vehicle. Trash in closed plastic bags that are below the sidewalls is acceptable. If bags are above sidewalls, they must be restrained with a rope, net or tarp. Tailgates shall be used.
