Their staff has made a commitment to design healthy, energy-efficient buildings using sustainable products, systems and practices. In their own building, staff has established a sustainable purchasing policy for all office supplies and environmentally safe cleaning products. The firm is also committed to reducing waste and has greatly enhanced in-house recycling programs.
CB | Two Architects and Construction is a local design and construction firm. CB|Two strives for sustainability not only in their design and construction services, but in their business practices as well. In their office, CB|Two“ walks the environmental walk” by reducing waste, reusing materials whenever possible, recycling, and conserving energy.
dalke construction has been building in Oregon's Willamette Valley since 1919, and has been EarthWISE certified since 2008. By sorting cardboard, wood waste, and metals at our work sites we not only enhance the environment but we reduce the amount and cost of transporting other wastes. Also, by seeking opportunities to reuse deconstruction materials whenever possible we demonstrate our commitment to being an environmental leader in our field.
Fluent Engineering is a Salem-based engineering firm that practices environmental stewardship through design. Besides efforts to decrease paper and energy use in our office, we are also investigating new lighting technologies and renewable energy generation to further reduce our impact on the environment. Jet Industries is a Salem-based mechanical, electrical, fire sprinkler and wood products contractor. Inc. As an EarthWISE business, we formed an employee green team to reduce waste, recycle, and conserve energy. Recently, we repurposed an old warehouse using modern, high-efficiency techniques and materials to create our new corporate offices. Installing energy efficient heating & air-conditioning equipment as well as energy efficient lighting systems with occupancy sensors has cut our energy consumption by approximately 20%. Jet Industries is committed to reducing waste both in our offices and on job sites.
LCG Pence Construction is a full service general contractor with a passion for green building practices. Twelve of their staff are LEED accredited professionals who used their expertise to construct the Kroc Aquatic Center to LEED standards. Besides meeting other LEED criteria, LCG Pence was able to recycle or reuse 86% of the building waste that might have otherwise not been salvaged.
Modern Building Systems, an Aumsville-based manufacturer of mobile offices and modular buildings, is now EarthWISE certified. Modern is dedicated to reducing waste, saving energy, and expanding their recycling program.

Nathan Good Architects is committed to environmentally sound practices in both their own office and in designing their clients' projects. All of their paper products, plastics and glass are always recycled, to the point that their six person office fills less than half of a 20-gallon trashcan each week. Nathan Good Architects also lets the sun shine in, leaving off overhead fixtures unless absolutely necessary.
