Notice: Effective December 1, 2013, the minimum transaction charge has increased. The minimum charge for garbage is now $25.00 (covers the first 580 pounds). The minimum charge for yard waste and wood waste is now $15.00 (covers the first 640 pounds). Garbage per ton rate will remain the same at $87.45 per ton. Yard debris and wood waste will remain the same at $47.00 per ton.This new minimum fee for garbage and yard debris also applies at the North Marion Recycling and Transfer Station.

Reduced rates are given for sorted clean compostable materials or wood waste. Recyclable materials are free, except tires and appliances. These materials must be placed in special areas.
Payment Options: Customers may pay with cash, personal checks, debit or credit cards including Master Card and Visa. Please note that you will be required to show photo ID for checks and card payments.
Marion County No Longer Accepts AMERICAN EXPRESS or DISCOVER Credit Cards.

Pressure treated wood and painted wood are accepted as garbage. Creosote wood not accepted.
Unbagged Insulation that is in pieces 1 square foot or less. Please tape bags shut.
Note Regarding Unrestrained Loads
All unrestrained loads will be charged an additional $10.00 fee. Fees double for each repeated occurrence.
An unrestrained load is defined as any load that can drop, sift, leak, blow or otherwise escape from the transporting vehicle. Trash in closed plastic bags that are below the sidewalls is acceptable. If bags are above sidewalls, they must be restrained with a rope, net or tarp. Tailgates shall be used.
