Master Recycler Program Information

Applications for the Fall 2010 class are now available.
If so, you should become a Master Recycler! After completing the training, participants undertake 30 hours of community "payback" through independent projects and outreach events. Over 600 people have participated in the program, volunteering more than 18,000 hours throughout Marion County. The following list is not comprehensive and many Master Recyclers develop their own "self-contained" projects.

The Master Recycler Course Curriculum
Master Recycler training includes 40 hours of instruction: 8 evening classes, a composting workshop and two field trips to local solid waste and recycling sites. Classes are taught by local experts in solid waste from business and government and non profit sectors.
