PROBLEM:

aggressive invader
detrimental to many different habitats
adversely affect many different land types

PROJECT GOALS:

to find, treat, and monitor current Japanese knotweed infestations
develop a new vegetation management system that brings together education, information management and physical controls
to systematically survey, treat, and monitor the populations of significant noxious weed species
provide educational materials on best management practice to landowners
serve as a tool for other counties wishing to implement a similar weed management system
