Composting
Salem & Keizer Compost! Salem and Keizer's food waste and yard debris curbside pick up program - all food waste goes!
Yard waste and fruit and vegetable scraps only are also picked up curbside in the cities of Jefferson, Hubbard, Stayton, Silverton and Woodburn, as well as the surrounding area within their urban growth boundaries. This material is hauled directly to either Compost Oregon located near Aumsville or Pacific Region Composting in Camp Adair. At these facilities it is ground up, composted, and eventually sold as a finished product.
