Thanksgiving Traditions
American families and communities traditionally come together in November to celebrate Thanksgiving. This provides a moment for reflection and discussion regarding personal and family preparation. While your family is together, encourage each member to create an emergency plan that includes a meeting location and contact information for local and extended family. Remember to designate an out of state contact number for all family members to report to as a safety measure. Also, prepare an emergency kit with food, water and supplies for at least 72 hours.
