North Fork Road Pavement Overlay
Marion County received funding from the Federal Highway Administration, Western Federal Lands Highway Division to overlay the existing paved portions of North Fork Road SE from State Hwy 22 to Salmon Falls Park as shown on the map below. Construction took place in August and September of this year. Additional funding was granted to pave from Salmon Falls Park to the end of pavement.
The contractor was responsible for the construction work schedule (below), which was subject to change due to weather, school and local events.
One lane of traffic remained open during construction. Flaggers and/or a pilot car directed drivers through the work area.
