REPLACEMENT OF THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD CROSSING
ON CEMETERY HILL ROAD SE
June 11 through June 14
Marion County Public Works would like to notify you about an upcoming improvement project which will affect travel on Cemetery Hill Road SE. The Union Pacific Railroad, in conjunction with Marion County Public Works, will be replacing the railroad crossing on Cemetery Hill Road SE. This work will include the addition of a pedestrian crossing across the tracks. This project will require a four day road closure of Cemetery Hill Road at the crossing.
The road closure will take effect on Monday, June 11 starting at 7:00 a.m. Traffic will detour via Cemetery Hill Road and Salamander Road and will access Jefferson-Marion Road via the emergency railroad crossing on the north end of Salamander Road. Traffic will be flagged across this crossing. Cemetery Hill road will be opened to traffic at the end of each day.
We apologize for the short notice. A change in crew schedules required moving the work up a week. If you have any questions, please use the form below or contact Bill Brownlee, Marion County Public Works at 503-588-5036.
