BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE PROJECT:

It is the responsibility of each group to clean up their section of adopted road at least two times a year, once between January and June and again between July and December.
To ensure a kit will be available for your use, please call 503-588-5304 7 days in advance to have signs and a kit reserved.

Have waiver of liability signed for every adult and parental release for those who are between the ages of 10 and 18. No one under age 10 is permitted to participate.

Safety Guide brochure must be read by or to each person, then sign the safety rules acknowledgment sheet stating they understand the safety guidelines.

Signs must be set up prior to going out on cleanup. They should be placed at least 500 feet in advance of the work area and no more than a mile apart. Cross streets must have signs as well. Location of sign placement will be discussed with Adopt A Road Coordinator during orientation to the program.

A safety vest and gloves must be worn by each person participating in the cleanup.

Remember, you are responsible for the safety of the group and ensuring that all members follow the safety guidelines.

Please note that Marion County will pay for the initial manufacturing and installation of the adopt a road signs after the initial 2 cleanups requirement has been met. Should a sign be vandalized or stolen after that initial installation, Marion County will cover the cost of replacement with one exception.

    8.    You must return the following forms when you return the kit:

        a. Safety Rules Acknowledgement signed by each participant with volunteer time noted.

        b. Consent for under 18 and/or Waiver of Liability and Indemnification form if not already signed.
