Welcome to the Marion County Sheriff's OfficeEnforcement Division
My name is Eric Hlad, and I am the Commander of our Enforcement Division for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. It is an honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Marion County and our staff. The Enforcement Division is determined to provide the best and most efficient services we can to the public.
Our primary mission is to be responsible and professional to the citizens of Marion County, provide consistent follow through on cases and calls involving the public, and help in efforts to enhance our community livability.
These efforts are carried out by our patrol functions (including Search and Rescue, SWAT, K-9, Reserves, Cadets), our criminal investigations unit, our street crimes unit, our traffic safety team, school resource deputies, contracts with the City of Jefferson, National Forest Service (Forest Patrol), the State Marine Board (Marine Patrol) and our innovative partnership with the federal government at Chemawa Indian School.
Our deputies and supervisors are available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Through the efforts listed above, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office is able to help Marion County reduce insurance costs associated with traffic crashes and fatalities, reduce insurance costs associated with residential and business burglaries, attract future businesses due to diligence in fighting crime, and most importantly help provide a sense of partnership, community well-being, and safety amongst our residents and visitors by responding to their needs and calls for service.
The Enforcement Division of the Sheriff’s Office is made up of 87 individuals who understand their unique abilities and roles in order to form a cohesive team dedicated to the profession and service of law enforcement.
