Marine Enforcement
There are several rules and regulations you MUST follow while boating in Oregon. You can have your boat inspected for free by a Marion County Deputy or Volunteer at Mongold State Park, Kane's Marina and Detroit Lake Marina to help insure a safer boating season for you, your family and friends, and others on the Lake.
For your boat to pass inspection you MUST have the following: * PFD's (Personal Flotaion Devices)* Type IV (Throwable)* Mandatory Boater's Education Card (Everyone UNDER age 70)* Lights (Navigation Lights for nightime operation)* Muffler* Sound Producing Device(s) (Whistle / Horn)* Fire Extinguisher (with bracket)* Flame Arrestor* Clean Ventilation* Certificate of number, or rental agreement* Indentifying numbers (properly spaced)* Validation Sticker* HIN (hull identification number) displayed on boatFailure on any of these regulations will prevent you from receiving your inspection sticker and will result in a citation if you are stopped by a Deputy on the water.
