National Night Out
National Night Out ("NNO") was held on August 4, 2009.  NNO is an annual event during which neighborhoods arrange block parties and events to promote good relationships and get to know each other better. Deputies attended parties to give presentations and answer questions. To arrange for a Deputy to attend an NNO party for 2010, please contact crimeprevention@co.marion.or.us.

We appreciate the opportunity to provide public safety services to the City of Jefferson. Public safety is a partnership, and we strive to maintain open lines of communication to ensure that we are doing everything we can to provide the best, most responsive service to the citizens of Jefferson and the citizens of Marion County.  We encourage any feedback or questions you may have.

The City of Jefferson has partnered through a contract with the Marion County Sheriff's Office to provide for two Deputies to work in the Jefferson Area. Those Deputies serve the citizens of Jefferson by:

Providing enforcement activities

Encouraging crime prevention

Acting as liasions between the community and the Sheriff's Office

Attending community meetings and events

New Deputy
Deputy Matt Hagan has been assigned to the City of Jefferson beginning in July 2009.

2008 Jefferson Expo
The Sheriff's Office was pleased to be part of the Annual Jefferson Fire Expo again last year. Many Sheriff's Office staff came out to provide crime prevention tips, teach kids bike safety and hand out safety materials. Thank you for having us, and we look forward to next year!
