Visiting Information

The Marion County Work Center allows offender visits with friends and family only on weekends.

VISITING GUIDELINES

Visitors must be at least 18 years of age unless the visitor is a legal spouse.

A child (if under the age of 18) may visit if accompanied by an adult.
If you or your visitor becomes disruptive, we will terminate your visit.

All visiting takes place on Saturdays and Sundays only.

Visiting areas are limited to the Work Center lobby, multipurpose room and/or the playground (weather permitting).
Possession of firearms, ammunition, alcoholic beverages, narcotics, or dangerous drugs of any kind on the person visiting or in that persons vehicle is a felony and is strictly prohibited.

Any evidence of intoxication will result in the denial of visitation and the person will be told to leave the premises immediately. Refusal to do so when asked will result in a criminal charge of Trespass.

Visitors are expected to wear conventional clothing and avoid dressing in a manner that may cause embarrassment to others. Orange clothing is strictly prohibited.

Pets are not allowed on Work Center grounds.

Visitors must have photo identification on them at all times.

All visitors on Work Center grounds are subject to search. Refusal to allow a search of the person or possessions will result in the termination of visitation privileges and sponsor rights.

No more than three (3) adults or one (1) adult and (3) children will be permitted to visit per offender/visit.

Visitors will be allowed to bring a meal to share with the offender visited.

Personal property drops will only be allowed during visiting hours.

VISITING DAYS/TIMES

The time and day you may visit will depend on which unit the offender is housed in.

Dorm A    11:30 am -12:30 pm   Saturdays

Dorm B    2:30 pm -3:30 pm       Saturdays

Dorm C    9:30-10:30 am    Sundays

Dorm D    2:30-3:30 pm      Sundays
