The quicker the graffiti is removed, the stronger the message that the community will not tolerate the vandalism. If the graffiti is allowed to remain, it becomes a signal of a community's acceptance of defeat.

RECYCLE LATEX PAINT
Place up to two paint cans per week out with your city curbside recycling program, and you will help clean up graffiti in your community. Your local garbage hauler has added waterbase latex paint to city weekly curbside recycling collection Call you garbage collector for details. It is also being accepted at Salem Keizer Recycling and Transfer Station.
YES - Water based paint of any color
YES - Quantities as small as 1/4 can
NO - Rusty cans
NO - Hardened paint
NO - Oil based paint or satin
NO - Specialty paint (textured, etc.)
NO - Hazardous waste
Your left over latex paint will be processed into a quality primer paint that make a fine undercoat to cover graffiti until the property owner obtains the correct matching paint.
PAINT BACK is a cooperative effort between garbage haulers, City and County government, local businesses and community volunteers.
