Santa Central 2012
The Marion County Sheriff's Office and the Marion-Polk Foster Parents Association, www.marionpolkfpa.org, have teamed up to organize another great year for the Santa Central Program. Fifteen years ago the Program was established to help ensure that foster children receive some special holiday wishes. Foster parents and caseworkers provide us with lists of names and Christmas wishes and we endeavor to fulfill them. Each child gets two wishes for specific gifts, with a maximum value of $30.00 each. “Santa Central” coordinates these wishes with individuals, service groups and local businesses that help fund the project and ensure that all of the wishes are fulfilled.
Last year the Foster Parents Association, the Sheriff’s Office, and our community partners, provided more than $32,000 worth of toys, clothing and other gifts! This year there are even more children in foster care needing our help. We ask that you partner with us and contribute to a very worthy program. An account in the name of “Santa Central” has been established at Wells Fargo bank. Donations can be made at any branch or sent to ‘Wells Fargo’, 1565 Lancaster Dr NE, Salem, OR 97301. All contributions are tax deductible 501(c) 3, and 100% of your money will be used to buy gifts.
If you have been a partner with us in previous years, we would like to thank you again for your generosity. We look forward to another exciting year making Christmas dreams come true for deserving boys and girls!
