The Marion County Board of Commissioners will present their annual State of the County Address at the SEDCOR Forum Lunch on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. The event will be held from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. at the Broadway Commons located at 1300 Broadway Street NE in Salem. Pre-registration for the luncheon is required. Commissioners Sam Brentano, Janet Carlson and Kevin Cameron will highlight achievements and discuss how Marion County is responding to important issues in our community. The commissioners will cover topics ranging from economic development to public safety, homelessness, transportation and solid waste.
Commissioner Sam Brentano, chair, said, "State of the County is Marion County's annual opportunity to report about our progress and challenges. Marion County encompasses a broad variety of programs and services that benefit our communities. We often hear from people who have no idea what the county does, yet their lives are touched every day by our employees and services."
