    DEPUTIES SEARCHING FOR WANTED SALEM MAN (PHOTO)

    Over the past two nights deputies have been searching for Levi Read, age 27, of Salem. Sunday night, deputies chased Mr. Read in a stolen Honda car that he ditched near Portland Road NE near the Labish Village. At the time of the chase deputies believe Mr. Read was armed with a shotgun.

    On Monday night deputies responded back to the same area after a sighting of Mr. Read but were unable to locate him, they did however recover the shotgun. Mr. Read is the same man that earlier this summer, July 1st, ran over a deputy's foot while fleeing in a vehicle.

    Mr. Read is a white male, 6'00" tall, 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Mr. Read has several outstanding felony warrants for his arrest for the charges of Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle, Attempting to Elude the Police and Assaulting a Public Safety Officer. Mr. Read should be considered dangerous and deputies ask that you do not attempt to apprehend him.
