School Setting
Health behaviors and lifestyles are established at an early age. This includes what we eat and how much we exercise. Given that children spend much of their time at school, we are working toward creating healthy environments at school to help ensure that children have the opportunity to establish healthy behaviors. Establishing healthy behaviors at an early age increases the likelihood that these behaviors will be carried out throughout ones lifetime. This may ultimately lead to the prevention and reduction of chronic disease in our community.
