"Clean Water, Clear Skies" is the theme at this year's Earth Day Fair that will be held at The Oregon Garden on April 23, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is the only day of the year that admission to The Oregon Garden is free to all.
The day will feature a number of earth-focused activities and presentations which include: backyard composting, electric cars, growing your own gourmet mushrooms, and learning how to make your home perform—energy wise. Visitors are invited to enjoy The Oregon Garden's 80-acre botanical garden, featuring more than 20 specialty gardens.
Educational exhibitors, along with several non-profit and student groups, will be located in the Garden's Grand Hall. The celebration will also feature music from the Early College High School's Emaa Da drumming band, Bush Elementary Marimba Band, and the Woodburn High School Mariachi Band, as well as food from local vendors.
Free parking and shuttles will be offered from Robert Frost Elementary and the gravel lot north of Roth's Fresh Market in Silverton. On-site parking is available for $5.00.
