Marion County Planning Division
The Planning Division is responsible for administering the County Comprehensive Plan and implements land use regulations for all unincorporated areas of the County. We also assist the Board of Commissioners, Planning Commission and Hearings Officer in their consideration of land use regulations, and process a variety of land use applications. The Division also coordinates County land use policy with cities, other counties, and state agencies.
Our goal in maintaining this website is to facilitate access to information which is specific to the Marion County land use and zoning process. Although every effort is made to keep all information current, please contact our office for confirmation of all information before taking action.Please note - due to budget reductions, Planning Division office hours are now 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
