Environmental Health inspects and enforces health and safety regulations for food service (restaurants, temporary food booths, mobile food units, school food programs), public and semi-public pools and spas, summer camps, motels, hotels, and RV parks.
We are responsible for providing assistance and regulating many of the public drinking water supplies in Marion County. We provide food handler training and certification. We investigate water, food, and vector borne diseases, and high levels of lead in the blood of young children. Environmental Health also follows up on complaints by the public on the facilities that we license and inspect.

New Web Portal for Inspection Reports
Marion County Environmental Health has a
new web portal that will allow people to easily find inspection reports for food, public pool and lodging facilities, such as restaurants, swimming pools and hotels.
The portal is provided as part of a software update to the statewide licensing and inspection system. The site will show semi-annual, biennial and annual routine inspections as well as reinspections.
**Please note that there is a 14-day lag from the date of inspection until it is shown on the website**
