    What's Open: County Office Contacts and Information

    On March 21, 2020, the Marion County Board of Commissioners voted to close county facilities to the public in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Many services are modified to prioritize the health and safety of both the public and Marion County staff. While some buildings are physically closed, services may still be offered online, via telephone or via virtual venues and in some circumstances by appointment.

    Hours are temporarily altered – shelter is closed to the public and volunteers. For additional information visit our website at www.mcdogs.net.

    The shelter's vestibule is open for one party at a time by appt. only.  

    Dog Control Officers will respond to matters of health and safety, including picking up strays, assisting law enforcement, etc. Citations will be sent by certified mail.
