Marion County Offices Are Closed to the Public
On March 21, 2020, the Marion County Commissioners approved an order closing county offices to the public:
Many services will continue to be available by phone or electronic means. This order only impacts employees of Marion County and not businesses within the county. The commissioners will continue to evaluate the COVID-19 situation and the closure remains in effect until further notice.
The Assessor's Office is responsible for assessing all properties in Marion County. This includes commercial, industrial, residential, farm, forest, manufactured structures and business personal property. We maintain records on approximately 132,000 property tax accounts with real market value of over $50 billion and assessed value of just over $26.5 billion.
