Marion County Compensation Board
Marion County is recruiting new board members to join the Compensation Board. This three to five member board meets two to three times a year to establish salaries of the county's nine elected officials, which include the assessor, county clerk, district attorney, sheriff, treasurer, justice of the peace, and three commissioners.
Members of the compensation board serve a minimum one-year term (with potential for additional terms). Those applying for the board must be knowledgeable in the areas of wage market analysis and compensation. Applicants must reside or work in Marion County and not be employed by the county.
Once selected, board members will attend an education session for an orientation on the responsibilities of this board.
Apply here! Applications must be received by 5:00 p.m., Friday September 28th to be considered for a position.
Join Marion County Environmental Services in a volunteer clean up project around East Salem. Trashy Tuesday is a litter clean up project near Claggett Creek and the West Fork of Little Pudding River.
