EMERGENT ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM (EEOP)
The Emergent Economic Opportunity Program (EEOP) provides flexible grant funding to support local priorities in Marion County. Funds are available to nonprofits, government entities, and for-profit businesses
by invitation only.
Program Objectives
Projects or programs funded through EEOP must align with:
- Marion County's Economic Development Strategy goals, and
- State requirements under ORS 461.540 & 285B.410, including one or more of the following public purposes:
- Creating jobs in Marion County
- Furthering economic development in Marion County
- Financing public education in Marion County
Award Amounts
- Up to $30,000 for programmatic awards (operating expenses and non-capital projects)
- Up to $50,000 for capital awards (property acquisition or improvements)
- Or other amounts at the discretion of the Board of Commissioners
How to Apply
EEOP is an
invitation-only grant program. Interested organizations should begin by contacting
Marion County Community Services. Staff can answer questions, review eligibility, and connect applicants with the Board of Commissioners for further consideration.
If invited to apply, organizations will be asked to submit:
- A completed EEOP Request Form
- Written invitation from the Board of Commissioners or County staff
- Budget narrative and supplemental materials
Completed applications must be submitted through the Marion County Community Services Department.
