Student Opportunities for Achieving Results (SOAR)
The SOAR (Student Opportunities for Achieving Results) program gives students a chance to succeed in life by working.
This program is made possible by Chemeketa Community College, Marion County Parole & Probation, and MCHHS working together.
In SOAR, students learn new skills and ways of thinking. This can help them fix problems, go back to their families, and return to the community.
SOAR program services include:
▪ Classes and treatment for people involved in the court system
▪ Help getting ready for a job, like filling out applications, practicing interviews, and building a resume
▪ Help getting a GED or going on to more school
▪ Learning how to get along with others in positive ways
▪ Support from mentors who help and encourage students over time
