We apologize for the inconvenience but we are unable to accept payment over the phone at this time. If you are paying by Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express, Marion County uses a third party credit card payment company Elavon, which charges a service fee of 2.65%. The service fee is identified in your statement as a separate transaction for Elavon.
Environmental Health inspects and enforces health and safety regulations for food service (restaurants, temporary food booths, mobile food units, school food programs), public and semi-public pools and spas, summer camps, motels, hotels, and RV parks.
We are responsible for providing assistance and regulating many of the public drinking water supplies in Marion County. We provide food handler training and certification. We investigate water, food, and vector borne diseases, and high levels of lead in the blood of young children. Environmental Health also follows up on complaints by the public on the facilities that we license and inspect.
