​Automated License Plate Reader Program
Automated License Plate Readers (ALPR) are being used my multiple agencies within Marion County. ALPR cameras are used to help broaden invesitgative efforts for many types of investigations, including violent and organized crime.
Camera data is stored in accordance with records retention policies, and all access to the system for searches are logged and tracked. Each agency using the ALPRs are subject to regular audits to ensure they are in compliance with laws and regulations.
The following agencies within Marion County, and surrounding areas, are part of the ALPR program and responsible for their own audit reports:
Salem Police Department
Keizer Police Department
Monmouth Police Department
Newburg-Dundee Police Department
