Youth and Family Crisis Services
We've moved! Youth and Family Crisis Services is now located at Marion County's Psychiatric Crisis Center at 1118 Oak Street SE, Salem, OR 97301.
Mission
Our mission is to provide trauma informed, culturally responsive mental health crisis screenings and services to youth and families in all of Marion County who are 0 to 17 years old. Crisis screenings are at no cost.
A youth experiencing a mental health crisis may experience intense feelings of distress, changes in functioning, catastrophic life events, and may or may not be of danger to self or others.
A mental health counselor will offer crisis support over the phone focusing on stabilization and safety. If needed, the crisis team can provide screenings and services in the home and community.
The crisis team will work with the youth and family to determine treatment goals and appropriate referrals. Referrals may include In-home family therapy, case management, respite, peer support and family support partners.
Community Crisis Outreach Team
The team provides consultation and crisis screenings to youth in schools struggling with suicidal or mental health symptoms.
